The Ride - for motorcycles
Since 2001, Dream Ride has been bringing people together on the open road to celebrate the achievements of Special Olympics Connecticut athletes. Each year thousands of motorcycle and car enthusiasts rev up their engines to honor this worthy cause.
After nine years and over $800,000 in fundraising, Bozzuto’s Inc. and Hometown Foundation, Inc. are back as sponsors of Dream Ride. Expanding our territory lines has always been a goal of ours, and generous support has afforded us the opportunity to establish new satellite locations in ME, VT, MA, RI, NY and PA. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces this year, and are excited to welcome newcomers to this monumental movement. Saturday August 21, 2010 and Sunday August 22, 2010 will be an amazing day filled with fun, food, music, motors, and inspiration.
The 2010 event is more than a charity ride for motorcycles and a show for cars; it’s a gathering of people interested in camaraderie, helping out a good cause and having a great time. We hope you can join us for this incredible day.
The Show - for automobiles
Celebrate the cars and trucks we love! We’re proud to announce the all-new Dream Show 2010, presented by Papa’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep in association with Dream Ride 2010. All types of vehicles are welcome, and award presentations will be made in various categories.
The Dream
The mission of Dream Ride 2010 is to raise much-needed funds for the thousands of Special Olympics athletes; the funds generated in each state will remain in that state. As an organization, Special Olympics contributes to the lifelong development of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. For those individuals and their families, Special Olympics has become a symbol of hope. For every athlete involved in Special Olympics, the program provides a lifetime of active participation in sports. To volunteers and supporters, Special Olympics offers an experience that uplifts the spirit and touches the heart — no matter who you are or what you drive.
The Special Olympics program is one of the most innovative and dynamic in the world, involving thousands of people throughout various states in exciting and rewarding competition, training and events. Your participation in Dream Ride and support of the Special Olympics mission will allow extraordinary athletes the chance to make their dreams come true.
